Day 1 Nairobi – Samburu
Depart Nairobi early in a 4×4 safari vehicle and travel north past the equator town of Nanyuki. The 6–7 hour drive to Samburu National Reserve showcases Kenya’s diverse landscapes, from fertile farmland to semi-arid plains. Arrive in time for lunch at your Samburu Sopa lodge, followed by your first afternoon game drive in Samburu. Expect sightings of elephants, lions, leopards, and the unique wildlife species found only in northern Kenya. End the day with dinner and a night under the stars at your accommodation at sopa lodge.
Day 2 Samburu fullday
Start your day with an early morning Samburu game drive, when predators and herbivores are most active. After breakfast, relax at camp or join an optional nature walk. Later, visit a Samburu manyatta (traditional village) to learn about local customs, daily life, and vibrant beadwork. The afternoon brings another thrilling game drive along the Ewaso Nyiro River, followed by sundowners (optional extra) and or dinner at the lodge.
Day 3 Samburu – Nairobi
Enjoy a final early morning game drive in Samburu National Reserve, then return for breakfast and check-out. Begin your drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon.
