Day 1: Nairobi/
Samburu national reserve

Early morning at around 0630hrs, meet and greet by our representative at your Nairobi hotel or at the Airport (JKIA). Have short briefing about your safari and afterwards depart Nairobi for a journey to Samburu National Reserve to arrive in time for lunch. Check in to your camp/lodge, have lunch and enjoy some relaxation. Later afternoon, proceed for game drive in the park famous as the place for the Samburu semi-nomadic people, the reticulated giraffe, the Grevy’s zebra gerenuk, beisa oryx and the blue-necked Somali Ostrich that are rare elsewhere in the country. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge. Samburu Sopa Lodge

Day 2: Samburu
National Reserve

Early morning game drive in the perfect morning light at this dry semi-arid park in search of elephants, lions, cheetahs, gravy’s zebras, Somali Ostrich, reticulated giraffes, and other animals & bird species. Return to the camp/lodge for breakfast. Rest
of morning free with an option to visit the Samburu Community and witness the way of life in their cultural village (Manyatta) – (extra own cost). Lunch at the Camp. In the afternoon, game drive viewing is done. Samburu National Reserve has its backdrop the great Table Mountain Ololokwe & it is bordered to the south by Ewaso Nyiro River, which separates it from the Buffalo Springs National Reserve. The reserve is also home to the third of Kenya’s giraffe species – the rare Reticulated Giraffe (only found in the Northern parks). This is also, where you see the long-necked Gerenuk gazelle and the straight-horned Beisa Oryx antelope. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge. Sopa Lodge

Day 3: Samburu/ lake
Nakuru National Park
 

After early morning breakfast, check out and proceed for a journey to Lake Nakuru, a birdlife heaven, at the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive for lunch, check in and relax as you take your meal. Later afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru National
Park is a world-class bird watching safari destination with thousands of pink flamingos & other over 400 bird species including African Fish Eagle, goliath heron, hammer kops, pied kingfishers, eagles, white pelicans, starlings, crab plovers & many others. The park is also a wild game destination for animal lovers and wildlife explorers with over 100 white & black Rhinos, the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe and other 50 or more animal species that include buffalos, waterbucks, lions, zebras, impalas and many more. Dinner & overnight stay at your Lodge/hotel. Sopa Lodge 

Day 4: Nakuru/Masai
Mara National Reserve

Early morning game drive followed by breakfast then check out and proceed to the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve on a drive along the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch, check in at the Camp and enjoy your meal as you relax. Afternoon game drive to explore the Masai Mara Game Reserve returning to the Camp/Lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight. Ol Moran tented camp 

Day 5: Masai Mara
National Reserve
 

After breakfast, leave the Camp/lodge with picnic lunch for a full day game viewing in this famous national reserve. You shall spot thousands of wildlife including Buffalos, hippos in the Mara River, lion, rhino, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, warthog,
hyena, jackal, wild dog, leopard, many kinds of antelope and elephant. The annual wildebeest migration, a once in a lifetime natural wonder, occurs in the Mara from July to September where millions of wildebeest and zebra migrate from the Serengeti in search of abundant water and pasture. Maasai Mara is also home to many members of the colorful Maasai people who may be seen around the borders of the park-Moran’s (warriors) loping across the plains, young boys herding goats, or elders grouped under a tree discussing matters of the day. Later in the evening, return to the Camp/Lodge for dinner & overnight. Ol Moran

Day 6: Masai Mara/
Nairobi
 

Early morning game drive or game drive after breakfast as you leave Masai Mara for a journey back to Nairobi. Optional stopover is provided at Curio shops to buy handcrafted souvenirs. Lunch enroute, (own cost). On arrival in Nairobi drop off at your hotel or the Airport for your final departure.

Shipping Policy

When booking your holiday directly with Golden Oriole Adventures Ltd Kenya or with your travel agent, please quote the tour number or your own specialized itinerary, intended date for arrival and departure, number of people traveling and sleeping arrangements. This will ensure that our arrangements are to your satisfaction. A 60% deposit is required for confirmation 3 months before intended departure with the balance to be settled 30 days before arrival prior to commencement of the tour. We will receipt your money, thereby confirming your safari. If a reservation is made less 3 months of departure, the entire amount must be made at the time of confirmation.

Refund Policy

CANCELLATIONS: Full refund will be provided if cancellation occurs in writing 60 days prior to commencement of a safari. Refund on all pre-paid money will be based on cancellation fees levied by hotels and lodges. Generally, there is a 50% charge on cancellation within 14- 35days, 75% charge within 2 - 14 days, and 100% charge within 48 hours. We reserve the right to deduct all expenses incurred from money paid.
